A community celebration across the town led by a torch-lit parade with Leigh Carnival and WigLe Dance on the same night as Leigh Christmas Light Switch on.
Lantern making workshops
Get involved in the Leigh Lantern Parade by coming along to one of these workshops to make your own lantern to walk with in the community parade. Taking place across Leigh and Tyldesley these workshops are suitable for all the family and materials will be provided. This is a free event, reserve your place below.
Leigh:
- Saturday 22nd October, 10am - 12pm – The Turnpike
- Tuesday 1st November, 3:30pm - 6:30pm - Turnpike room
Tyldesley:
- Tuesday 25th October, 10am, Tyldesley Town Hall (Stop E)
- Tuesday 25th October, 4pm, Parish Church of St. George
- Friday 28th October, 10.30am, Shakerley Community Centre
Leigh Parade Dance Camp
Come along to the Light Parade Dance Camp this half term, learn the choreography and make a parade prop. All children attending are invited to the Leigh Lantern Parade and Christmas Light Switch On.
