THE FIRE WITHIN FESTIVAL LAUNCH 2019
In a ground breaking transformation of public space in the heart of Wigan town centre, 4,000 people came together on 11 May 2019 to launch and celebrate The Fire Within: Wigan Borough's new cultural Manifesto, an inspirational five year plan, written by the people for the people.
Showcasing an extraordinary alignment of talent from across the region, The Fire Within HQ hosted live performances by new wave band the LYNCHS, master poet Louise Fazackerley, Wigan Youth Orchestra, WN Dance Company, SunCurves, Zach Carpenter, The Surgeiacs and sensational performance artist Anna FC Smith on a new Emoji stage.
